Core Data Processing System
What is a core data processor and why is it being upgraded?
The core processing system is the software and supporting hardware that Maui County Federal Credit Union uses to maintain members’ deposit and loan accounts, process transactions, and support services such as debit cards and online banking.
How does this core system conversion benefit me?
Upgrading our core system and digital banking solution will unlock a range of benefits, including increasing efficiency, improving your experience, and accessing innovative features. Ultimately, this will assist in providing you with the convenience and flexibility expected in today's digital age.
Is my personal information safe and secure?
Yes, the safekeeping of your account and personal information is the credit union’s top priority. Personal data and account information will be safe and secure throughout the entire upgrade process.
When is the core system upgrade happening?
At the close of business on Thursday, February 29th, through Monday, March 4th. All locations will be closed during this time and will reopen on Tuesday, March 5th for business as usual.
How will I be impacted by the core system upgrade?
Members will not have access to online, mobile and phone banking during the upgrade from 11am HST on Thursday, February 29th. All branches will be closed from Friday, March 1 – Monday, March 4, 2024.
Will branches be open during the conversion?
No, all branches will be closed Friday, March 1, through Monday, March 4, 2024.
Will Maui County Federal Credit Union ATMs be available for use?
Yes, however if using a Maui County Federal Credit Union debit card, deposits will unavailable, and $200 daily withdrawal and transfer limits from 1pm HST February 29 through March 4, 2024.
Will I be able to withdraw cash from an ATM using my MCFCU debit card?
Yes, however if using your Maui County Federal Credit Union debit card, deposits will unavailable and $200 daily withdrawal and transfer limits from 1pm HST February 29 through March 4, 2024.

Will my member number and account numbers change?
Member and account numbers will remain the same.
Will my debit card work during the upgrade?
Yes, however there will be $200 daily transaction limits from March 1 – March 4, 2024.
Who should I contact if I have problems with my debit card during the core upgrade?

Can I still use my current checks?
Yes.
Will my credit card work during the upgrade?
Yes, your Maui County FCU credit card will work as usual.
If I have a loan payment scheduled during the upgrade window, when will the payment be posted?
Any loan transfers scheduled during the upgrade dates will post as scheduled if the funds are available.
Will my loan payment dates remain the same?
Yes.

When will my dividends be paid?
Dividends for all Savings accounts will be paid as usual on a monthly basis with the exception of Christmas Savings Accounts, for which dividends will be disbursed on February 29, 2024.
Online & Mobile Banking
Will I be able to bank online or use the app during the system upgrade?
No, online and mobile banking will be unavailable from 11am HST on Thursday, February 29th to Monday, March 4th. Members will be notified via email when online and mobile banking are available. Please ensure that we have your current email address on record to receive updates.
When will the new mobile banking app be available?
The new app “Maui County FCU Mobile” will be available for download on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in the Apple App and Google Play stores.
How do I log in to online and mobile banking?
Members will need to re-enroll in online banking or in the mobile app. Members will need their social security and member numbers to enroll. For mobile banking, members will need to download the new mobile banking app “Maui County FCU Mobile”.
Will I need to re-enroll in e-statements?
Yes. Once members have enrolled in online or mobile banking they will need to re-enroll in e-statements.
Will my transaction history transfer to the new online and mobile banking platforms?
No. Please download and save e-statements before 11am HST on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
Online Bill Payment & External Transfers
Will I be able to access bill pay & external transfers during the upgrade?
No. Bill pay and external transfers setup through our online banking system will not be available in online banking a week prior to the conversion, beginning 4am HST on February 23, 2024.
Will my scheduled payments in online banking bill pay get paid during the conversion?
Any bill payments setup through our online banking system that have been scheduled through February 29 will be paid. Any bill pay items scheduled though our online banking system between March 1 - 3, will be processed on March 4 once our systems are back up. From this date, bill pay items will resume as scheduled.
Will my external account transfers process during the conversion?
Any external account transfers setup through our online banking system that have been scheduled through February 29 will be paid. Any external transfers setup through our online banking system and scheduled for March 1 or later, will not be paid and will need to re-established in the new digital banking system on March 5.
Will my online bill pay and external transfer history be available in the new online banking?
No. Please download and save any history you may need prior to 4am HST on Friday, February 23, 2024.
Will my Bill Pay scheduled transfers, payments and payees transfer to the new platform?
Yes, any bill payment transfers, payments and payees establish prior to 4am HST on Friday, February 23, 2024 will transfer to the new Bill Pay platform.
Will my external account transfers convert to the new online banking platform?
No, external transfers will not convert to the new system and will need to be re-established.
Loans
Statements
Will my statements look the same?
No, statements will have a new look.
Will my statements be delayed due to the core upgrade?
No, all members will receive mailed statements as of February 29, 2024, including those who have enrolled in e-statements.
Will I be able to access old statements in the new online and mobile banking platforms?
Old statements will not be available in online or mobile banking until a few months post conversion. Please download and save any needed e-statements before 11am HST on February 29, 2024.
Will I need to re-enroll in e-statements?
No, if you received e-statements prior to February 29, 2024, you will not need to re-enroll to receive e-statements.
After March 4th, how can I enroll in e-statements?
All members will be able to enroll to receive e-statements through online and mobile banking.
Will I continue receiving a separate credit card statement?
Yes, you should continue to receive your credit card statement separately.
Phone Banking
Will I be able to access my account information by phone?
No, banking by phone will be unavailable March 1 - 4, 2024.
Will my existing PIN for the current phone banking system remain the same?
No, members will need to re-enroll in phone banking and establish a new PIN (personal identification number). Members will need their social security number and account number to re-enroll and call from a phone number on record with the Credit Union.
I don’t currently use phone banking; how can I get enrolled?
All members can enroll in phone banking with their account number and full SSN, and call from a phone number that is on record.
Will the banking by phone number remain the same?
No, the toll free number will be changing to 877-824-4910 as of Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
Will the phone banking menu options be changing?
Yes, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 phone banking will be available with new menu options.
