Debit Card

Maui County FCU has partnered with a new debit card processor that will be able to provide you with contactless debit cards and upgraded benefits including more reward options, such as cash back, more efficient dispute filing and more robust card controls.

We are making every effort to ensure a smooth transition, so your existing card will be deactivated on September 17th at midnight HST, and you can activate and begin using your new card on September 18th at 12:01am HST.

On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at midnight HST.

Cards will be mailed from the mainland on September 5, 2024, and should begin arriving around September 10, 2024.

Beginning Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 12:01 a.m. HST.

Yes, you will be issued a new debit card number so please be sure to update any automatic payments that you’ve set up using your debit card. 

No, you will need to set up a new PIN number, however you can use the same number you previously used.

Yes, please be sure to update merchants with automatic, reoccurring payments such as any online subscriptions, your gym or home utilities, with your new card.

No, the new debit cards will have a new graphic design and will look like the this:

The best way is to send us a message through online or mobile banking as it’s secure and we’ll have the necessary information to research why you didn’t receive your new card. If you’re not enrolled in digital banking, you can do so here or give us a call at 808-244-7968.

Member and account numbers will remain the same.  

No, the new debit card won't cost you anything.

Online & Mobile Banking

The debit card with the “Ordered” flag is your newly issued debit card. It is a legitimate card, so please don’t “Report card lost/stolen” as you won’t be able to use that debit card when you receive it in the mail.

In MCFCU’s digital banking platforms you will be able to lock and unlock your card, report your card lost or stolen, and reorder a card. For more robust card controls, including setting up travel notices, and creating alerts and blocks on transactions by location, merchant, type or spending limits, you will need to download the “MCFCU CARDS” app from the App Store or Google Play. Apps will be available for download on September 18, 2024.

With the MCFCU Visa mobile app, members can:

  • Set travel notifications.
  • Raise a dispute on a transaction.
  • Set alerts and notifications by location, merchant type, transaction type and spend limits.
  • Lock and unlock your card.
  • Report your card lost or stolen.
  • View recent and pending transactions.

Card registration is easy from any mobile device, and access is secure and protected by multi-factor authentication

Yes, it is the same app although the app icon may look a little different and now says “MCFCU CARDS” instead of “CREDIT CARD”. All you’ll need to do is add your debit card in once you’ve activated it on or after September 18, 2024.

Currently there is no website or online access for card controls.

Yes, you'll be able to add your card to mobile wallet as soon as your card is activated starting September 18, 2024.

Rewards Program

Yes, the new rewards system will be available for you to access in mid-October here: https://www.curewards.com/Login

Your existing debit card rewards will transfer to the new rewards platform, CUrewards, which you can enroll in here: https://www.curewards.com/Login

Yes, you’ll continue to accrue rewards on your current card through September 17, 2024, at midnight.

You will begin accruing rewards on your new debit card as soon as you begin using your card.

Your rewards will be accessible on CUrewards in Mid-October 2024.

All UChoose Rewards points will expire in three years on October 18, 2027.
